The approval concerns the 10.4km Dahisar - Mira Bhayander section of Line 9, which includes 11 stations, and the 3.2km extension of Line 7 from Andheri to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The two projects represent a combined investment of Rs 66.1bn ($US 1.2bn).
