The order, which is worth around €100m, is an option from a contract signed in September 2018, which included an initial order for 25 six-car trains for Line 15.
The 1.5kV dc trains will have a maximum speed of 110km/h with two powered vehicles and one trailer car.
Assembly will take place at Alstom’s Petite-Forêt plant in Valenciennes in northeast France, with deliveries beginning in 2022. The trains will enter service in 2024.
