The agreement was signed by the head of Moscow Metro, Mr Viktor Kozlovskiy, and the head of Beijing Metro, Mr Xu Huijie, during the ‘Moscow - Beijing: new times - new opportunities’ online forum.

“Our cooperation has lasted for years and I am pleased to note that information we are receiving and sharing with you is helping solve problems we all are facing,” Kozlovskiy says. “Today we have one challenge - the pandemic, which has forced changes. But it cannot make changes to our cooperation and our collaboration.”

Kozlovskiy says Moscow Metro had benefited from Beijing’s experience during the pandemic. “That is why in my opinion this agreement is even more significant for us during such a challenging period,” he says.

Xu said the agreement was a milestone following 25 years of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing metro.
