The new terminus at Kotelniki has been constructed below the Novoryazanskiy Highway and has a single 162m-long island platform. Moscow Metro says the station is fully accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.

Kotelniki is only the second station on the network to be constructed outside the city's administrative boundary. Around 50,000 passengers per day are forecast to use the extension.
