A fleet of 18 six-car trains worth $US 172.3m is required, plus four maintenance vehicles. The workshop equipment is valued at $US 9.17m. The trains will have motor coaches at each end and the line will be electrified at 1.5kV dc overhead.

Quito Metro will require an additional train during the first year of operation followed by two more trains a year later. A further 32 cars will be needed during the next seven years of operation, with another 82 cars to be supplied during the next 20 years.
