Siemens will be responsible system engineering, project management, the supply of 19 Cityval trains, CBTC, track, electrification, the control centre and the depot. Siemens will also be responsible for telecommunications and CCTV both on the trains and in the stations. In addition, Siemens will prepare Line B for operation, set up the maintenance system, and train staff.
Line B will be 12.6km long and run mainly in tunnel along a northeast-southwest axis. There will be 15 stations, two of which will interchange with Line A at Sainte-Anne and Gares, the city's main line station. Line B is expected to open by the end of 2019.
