A competition was held in 2014 to find designs for the refurbishment of Mitsukoshimae, Nihombashi (pictured), and Kyobashi stations, and the ideas and concepts submitted to Tokyo Metro have been incorporated into the final designs.
Work will begin at Nihombashi next month and Kyobashi in January 2017, with both stations due for completion in the 2019 financial year. The modernisation of Mitsukoshimae station will start after 2020.
