Powerlines will install 10.3km of aluminium steel conductor rails and cover boards together with around 60km of cabling and 2500 support points on the 4.6km extension. The contract also includes the electrification of sidings and maintenance facilities at Neulaa and Oberlaa.
The extension includes new stations at Trostgasse, Altes Landgut, Alaudagasse, Neulaa, and Oberlaa, and is due to be commissioned in 2017.
