This follows the cessation of all international passenger services radiating from Ukraine on March 17 together with all metro services.

UZ is giving passengers who have already purchased tickets a full refund without penalty. To avoid large numbers of people entering stations to obtain a refund, passengers will be able to apply for a refund for up to one month from date of travel.

Metros shut down

The metro networks in Kiev, Kharkiv and Dnipro were also forced to close on March 17 until April 3.

“We are doing our best to protect the people of Kiev from the spread of coronavirus infection,” the mayor of Kiev, Mr Vitali Klitschko, said on March 17. “According to the decision of the governmental commission on technogenic-ecological safety and emergencies, and the resolution of the cabinet of ministers, Kiev must close the metro; just like Dnipro and Kharkiv. Therefore, from 23.00 today the Kiev metro stops the transportation of passengers.”
