A'Rex, a consortium between Kookmin Bank (KB) and the Industrial Bank of Korea, was selected through a tender process and will be responsible for overall operations, maintenance and passenger information for three years until June 2019.
A'Rex already owns a 65.9% stake in Airport Railroad, a commuter rail service which connects Seoul with Gimpo and Incheon airports, after it acquired its stake from Korail in June 2015. The depots for both operations are situated next to each other at Yongyu Station.
The 6.1km Incheon Airport Maglev opened on February 3 and runs from 09.00 to 17.45. It is currently free to ride.
