The new terminus is located a 10-minute walk from the theme park and has floor space of 40,000m2, around five times larger than other stations on the network, a reflection of the high number of passengers expected to pass through the station at peak times.
The station has four entrances and the concourse features 3m-high Mickey and Minnie Mouse sculptures, which have been designed to incorporate elements of the traditional Chinese art of paper cutting.
