The $US 1.28bn project includes the construction a dry ore processing facility capable of handling up to 30 million tonnes of iron-ore per annum and a 120km heavy-haul railway which will connect the new mine with existing FMG rail infrastructure at Solomon Hub.

The first ore train from Eliwana to FMG’s export terminal at Port Hedland is expected to run in December 2020.
