SCT services will convey wagonload and intermodal freight between Melbourne and the company’s newly-developed Bromelton Intermodal Estate, 65km south of Brisbane.

The 134-hectare site features a 10,500m2 cross dock terminal, a 5000m2 container handling area and more than 7.3km of internal sidings. Consistent with other SCT Intermodal developments, the Bromelton terminal offers the opportunity for tenants and customers to
locate their own facilities at a major rail head.

SCT also recently completed its Wodonga Rail Terminal at Logic Park on the New South Wales/ Victoria border, adjacent to the interstate corridor, which will also play a significant role in developing SCT’s Queensland rail services.

SCT already serves the Brisbane market, but says the launch of its own rail services will broaden the service offering and enable customers to utilise SCT’s integrated rail network and expanded national footprint.

SCT Logistics currently operates five weekly return interstate services on the East West transcontinental corridor linking Melbourne and Perth, via Adelaide, and Parkes (New South Wales) and Perth.
