The contract covers the installation of DeltaRail's VIEW automated inspection system, which identifies wheel and brake pad wear rate, wheel profile, defects, and damaged or missing components. VIEW also identifies trends such as excessive wheel wear rates and failed brake actuators.
DeltaRail says the data will interface with Sydney Trains' existing Wayside Information Management System (WIMS) and Network Management System (NMS). The data will be available to view on mobile devices.
