In September 2017 CPTM awarded the joint venture a Reais 316.7m ($US 81.8m) contract to supply eight eight-car trains for Line 13 (Jade), which links Safira with Guarulhos International Airport. The 12.2km airport line opened in March 2018.
The 3kV dc trains are equipped with large luggage racks as well as air-conditioning, CCTV, and full-width gangways between vehicles.
Deliveries are due to be completed by the end of the year.
