Nebsky is stepping down for private reasons and will remain as a board member. He will also assume the position of deputy chairman where he will be responsible for project management, grants, IT and digitalisation of ČD’s services and processes.

Deputy CEO, Mr Patrik Horný, responsible for economic affairs, is set to leave the company.

Czech minister of transport, Mr Karl Havlíček, says the changes should position ČD to better handle the current crisis situation and strengthen the company’s financial management.

ČD reported losses of Koruna 2bn ($US 75.5m) for the first half of 2020 due to the impact of Covid-19.
