German newspaper Lübecker Nachrichten reported on March 1 that DB and DSB will route all Hamburg - Copenhagen services via Flensburg and Padborg from December due to the infrastructure works on the Rødby - Copenhagen line, which is being upgraded in connection with the construction of the Fehmarn Belt Fixed Link.

An unnamed DB spokesperson told the newspaper that the operator aims “to ensure a fast and reliable customer-friendly connection” between Hamburg and the Danish capital.

Train ferry operator Scandlines says it has not yet received any confirmation of the decision.
