Länderbahn will operate a regular-interval two-hourly service using new two-car Alstom class 648 Coradia Lint 41 DMUs, a type which has already been authorised for operation in Germany and is currently being certified for operation in the Czech Republic. Originally it was intended to use Pesa Link DMUs but these units have failed to gain the necessary authorisation from Germany's Federal railway Authority (EBA).

Rebuilding work is almost complete on the Selb Plössberg - Aš line, which was last used by passenger trains in 1945.
