Ducrot, currently director general of the Freiburg Transport Company (TPF), will succeed Mr Andreas Meyer on April 1 2020. Ducrot previously worked at SBB from 1993 to 2011, including 10 years as head of long-distance transport.

“Vincent Ducrot knows the integrated railway completely and is very well connected in the public transport industry, in politics and with the social partners,” says chairman of SBB’s board of directors, Ms Monika Ribar.

SBB is experiencing a period of heavy traffic growth and construction, and Ribar says the emphasis is on “stabilising and improving the core business, but also carefully approaching further developments. Vincent Ducrot is the ideal person for the coming challenges.”

“Safety, punctuality, cleanliness are top priority for me,” Ducrot says. “This also includes good customer information, especially in the event of delays.”

Ducrot has managed TPF for eight years, and since 2017 has been vice-president of the Swiss Association of Public Transport (VöV). He studied electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, and has a postgraduate diploma in technical management from ETH Zurich.
