The system will be installed on 12 locomotives and 64 coaches (all of which were built by CAF), which are used on Riyadh - Qurrayat services.

CAF says LeadMind will be monitoring 3200 vehicles with 23 customers around the world by next year.

At the start of this year SAR awarded Perpetuuum, Britain, a contract to install track monitoring systems on two of the trains.

Last month SAR signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei, which will support the railway’s digitalisation programme.
