\r\nThe 180km\/h trains comprise a power car, four intermediate trailer coaches, and a driving trailer. Each train has first and second-class accommodation with seats for 288 passengers, plus a prayer area, baggage compartment and cafeteria. The trains are fitted with TFT monitors and LED screens which will display information about the journey and destinations. The trains also have Wi-Fi and facilities for disabled passengers with two spaces for wheelchairs.\r\nThe exterior of the trains is made of a non-corrosive material to withstand wind-blown sand and temperatures up to 55oC. The trains are equipped with ERTMS, event recorders and smoke detectors.\r\nThe new trains will allow SRO to increase the frequency of services between Riyadh and Dammam and take advantage of the recently-completed track doubling project.\r\n\r\nHE Mohammed bin Khalid Al-Suwaiket seated next to Mr Joaquin Perez.
