Arep says it is already conducting site visits and interviews with representatives of public authorities and Iranian Islamic Republic Railways (RAI) in the first stage of project to develop plans for the redevelopment of Tehran, Mashhad and Qom stations as multimodal hubs.

In the next phase, Arep will carry out operational studies, a process which is expected to take around 18 months. These studies will determine the extent of the work required and propose timescales for implementation.
The project will also examine options for urban development projects on former railway land around these stations.
