The program, which has been developed by IVU specifically for railway operations, will enable Via Rail to centralise duty scheduling of around 1200 traincrew and onboard staff across its 12,500km network.
IVU says the system supports features specific to North American operations, such as seniority bidding for preferred duties, which gives requests made by longer-serving personnel priority over more recent recruits.
