The four-section trams will begin service on Bremen’s seven-line 79km network from early 2019. The trams will replace the GT8N-series trams currently in service on the network, and are equipped with space for wheelchairs, bicycles and pushchairs, an electric lift at the second entrance, LED lighting, large windows, and air-conditioning.

The trams are up to 90% recyclable and use braking energy to feed into the power grid or for heating. Each vehicle has capacity for 259 passengers and a maximum speed of 70km/h.
