The 160km/h class 2300 regional trains will enter service on the Luxembourg – Trier – Koblenz route in December 2014, following approval by the Luxembourg and German national safety authorities.

Each 79.84m-long three-car set seats 284 passengers, 29 of them in first class, and accommodates up to 24 bicycles.

The contract includes an option for a further 31 trains.
