The contract was signed at the end of September, but as production had already begun, the first delivery will be in October. Delivery is set to be completed by the end of this year. Bombardier says delivery within three months “reflects the confidence CRC has in BST’s high efficiency and competitiveness.”
The CR400AF designed by CRRC Sifang has been in service since February 2017. The latest order comprises five eight-car trains and five 16-car trains with an operating speed of 350km/h.
BST is 50:50 owned by Bombardier Transportation and CRRC Sifang.
