The six-car train, designated class 675 by UZ, was assembled at Škoda's Plzeň site in the Czech Republic and is being tested on standard-gauge bogies.
The trains will be introduced on Kharkov - Kiev and Kharkov - Donetsk services in time for the UEFA European Soccer Championships, which Poland and Ukraine will jointly host in June.
Upon completion of the test programme, the train will be transferred to Skoda's Vitkovice plant near Ostrava for final fitting out. It will be fitted with 1520mm bogies at Haniska in Slovakia, before being dispatched to UZ via the broad-gauge line from Košice, Slovakia, to Chop in Ukraine.
