Four other companies were competing for the train maintenance contract, which will run until 2024 with an option for a four-year extension. Mantena will continue to maintain the bogies.
The contract covers NSB’s entire Flirt fleet supplied by Stadler and involves full servicing of the trains including spare parts and repairs.
NSB operates the Flirt trains on inter-city, regional and suburban services in the southeast of Norway, on the Gjørvik Line, and between Voss and Bergen.
The fleet is owned by state-owned leasing company Nørske Tog.
