Alstom is a 58% shareholder in the consortium and its share of the contract is worth around €50m.

Alstom will supply Smartlock electronic interlocking, Iconis centralised traffic management system and Automatic Train Stop (ATS) technology.

Alstom's share of the contract also includes design, engineering, factory and field testing, technical integration and commissioning as well as level crossing barriers, copper and fibre optic cabling, and fire protection systems.

Pose will be responsible for civil and electrical works, construction of control and operations centres, and installation of level crossing equipment and cables.

Both companies will jointly carry out field tests, commissioning and warranty.

In August 2017 Pose awarded Alstom a €10m sub-contract to supply signalling equipment for a project to resignal four stations on the Merlo – Lobos branch of the Sarmiento Line.

Both projects are part of the broader Buenos Aires suburban network modernisation programme.
