Instillation will take place on the Caíde - Régua section of Douro Line; Pampilhosa station on the North Line; the Beira Alta Line from Pampilhosa to Vilar Formoso, including Mealhada junction; and the Évora - Elvas - Spanish border section of the Évora line.

The programme will enhance capacity as well as improve reliability along the international corridors, which connect with key Portuguese ports.
