PASSENGER Rail Authority of South Africa (Prasa) has awarded engineering company Gibb a Rand 63m ($US 7m) four-year contract to provide technical support and supervision services for the Durban area resignalling project.
PASSENGER Rail Authority of South Africa (Prasa) has awarded engineering company Gibb a Rand 63m ($US 7m) four-year contract to provide technical support and supervision services for the Durban area resignalling project.
Gibb will be responsible for developing and enforcing specifications, training Prasa engineers and construction supervision on the project, which includes a new integrated control centre and the resignalling of all stations in the Durban area.
Gibb has already provided technical support on a number of Prasa projects, including resignalling of suburban lines in Gauteng province last year.
