THE president of Turkmenistan Mr Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and his Afghan counterpart Mr Ashraf Ghani attended a ceremony at the Immamnazar border crossing on November 28 to mark the opening of a new rail link between the two countries.
AFGHANISTAN's Ministry of Public Works has renewed its contract with Uzbekistan Railways (UTY) to run the country's only operational railway, the 75km line from Hairatan in Uzbekistan to the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
