China Railways awards high-speed maintenance contract to Bombardier JV
CHINA National Railways (CR) has awarded the Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation (BST) joint venture a contract to maintain 32 high-speed trains, consisting of 280 cars.

China Railways to receive new high-speed trains
CHINA National Railways (CR) will receive a new fleet of 14 eight-car high-speed trains from Bombardier Sifang (Qingdao) Transportation (BST) by January 2021, under a Yuan 1.6 billion ($US 248m) contract agreed in 2018.

Covid-19 results in first-half loss for China National Railway
CHINA National Railway (CR) recorded revenue of Yuan 403.9bn ($US 59.1bn) in the first half of 2020, down Yuan 124.2bn year-on-year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This resulted in a net loss of Yuan 95.5bn for the period, including a net loss of Yuan 34.2bn in the second quarter.
