China expands high-speed and overnight sleeper services
A new national timetable was introduced in China on December 30 2019 which increases the number of passenger trains by 263.5 per day to reach 4816.5 daily round trips.

CHINA National Railway (CR) opened the 174km Beijing North – Zhangjiakou line on December 30, the world’s first automated high-speed railway, together with the 53km Chongli line serving venues for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Dunhuang railway in northwest China completed
CHINA National Railway (CR) officially opened the 173km Subei - Mahai line on December 18, marking the completion of the 671km Dunhuang circular railway in northwest China.
