German Monopolies Commission calls for break-up of DB
GERMANY’s federal government should consider separating German Rail’s (DB) transport business from its infrastructure activities, according to the conclusions of a report by the country’s Monopolies Commission on July 25.

DB plans half-hourly Hamburg - Berlin services from 2021

DB Long-Distance orders new digital planning platform
IVU Traffic Technologies, Berlin, has won a Europe-wide call for tenders from German Rail (DB) to supply a new digital planning platform for DB’s long distance division, which will be used to gather and process all operational information relevant to the deployment of long-distance trains.
