Estonia’s 1520mm-gauge railway network has been on a rollercoaster ride during the last few years with numerous organisational changes, plummeting freight traffic and passenger traffic growing strongly. However, as David Briginshaw reports from Tallinn, the structure of the railway has stabilised and freight is set for an upsurge.
