A flurry of new metro lines and line extensions opened in cities across China in the final week of 2016.
HEFEI became the latest Chinese city to open a metro line on December 26 with the inauguration of the north – south Line 1.
CRRC subsidiary Nanjing Puzhen SR Rail Transport has secured three contracts for the supply of metro and light rail rolling stock in China worth a combined Yuan 2.1bn ($US 338.2m).
