Adif AV receives path requests for high-speed network

Spanish competition authority approves Acciona-Ilsa high-speed deal
SPAIN’s National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) confirmed on January 24 that it has given the go-ahead for Spanish infrastructure group Acciona to take a controlling stake in open-access high-speed operator Intermodalidad de Levante (Ilsa), which is planning to launch new services in competition with Renfe.

Spain to cut high-speed track access charges in bid to boost competition
SPANISH infrastructure manager Adif and its high-speed subsidiary Adif AV have approved proposals to cut track access fees on high-speed lines by 9.2% with the aim of stimulating competition on Europe’s largest high-speed rail network.

Acciona to take controlling stake in Spanish high-speed operator
SPANISH infrastructure group Acciona has reportedly reached an agreement with shareholders of Air Nostrum to take a controlling stake in open-access passenger operator Intermodalidad de Levante (Ilsa), which is planning to launch high-speed services in competition with incumbent carrier Renfe.
