Wheel crack investigation underway as Ottawa’s Confederation Line services reduced
THE Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has launched an investigation after cracks were found on four wheels on three separate Alstom Citadis Spirit LRVs used on the Ottawa Light Rail Transit (OLRT) Confederation Line, which opened in September last year.

Ottawa opens light rail Line 1
THE Canadian capital of Ottawa opened its second light rail line on September 14. Formerly known as the Confederation Line, the 12.5km Line 1 runs from Tunney’s Pasture east to Blair with an end-to-end journey time of around 24 minutes.
