Rail freight through Port of Hamburg jumps 10%
RAIL freight passing through the Port of Hamburg jumped 10.4% to 2.7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) in 2019, a new record for the port.

A total of 11.3 million tonnes of freight was transported by rail between the Port of Hamburg and destinations within Germany and Europe in the first quarter of 2019, a 7.7% increase on the same period last year.
