Tibet railway among new lines to open in China
Tibet's first electrified railway and Taizhou - Jinhua lines opened on June 25 while construction is complete on Hangzhou - Shaoxing - Taizhou line.

China starts work on central section of Sichuan-Tibet Railway
A mobilisation meeting for the construction the Ya’an - Nyingchi central section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway was held on November 8 at the Sejila Mountain tunnel and the Dadu River bridge.
