ALSTOM announced on January 31 that it has signed a €91m contract with Lyon Transport Authority, Sytral, for the automation of metro lines B and D of the Lyon metro.
LYON Transport Authority, Sytral has started utility relocation works to enable full construction of Line T6 to begin in September 2017. The 6.7km light rail line is due to open at the end of 2019.
SYTRAL, which is responsible for the four-line metro in Lyon, has awarded a €140m contract to Alstom for 30 two-car rubber-tyred trains with an option for another 18 trains.
LYON Transport Authority Sytral has exercised a €20m option with Alstom to supply seven additional Citadis low-floor LRVs for the city's light rail network.
