Consortium awarded Lyon - Turin tunnel shaft boring contract

TUNNEL Euralpin Lyon Turin (Telt) has awarded a consortium led by Vinci Construction Grands Projects a €220m contract to undertake preparatory work on the Avrieux shafts for the 270km Lyon - Turin high-speed line, which includes a 57.5km twin-bore base tunnel between St Jean de Maurienne, France, and Chiomonte, Italy.
