Brightline drops Virgin and returns to old name
FLORIDA-based private operator Brightline, which has operated as Virgin Trains USA since 2019, has announced that it will revert to its former name and end its partnership with Virgin Enterprises, following a termination notice delivered on July 29.

Virgin Trains plans extension of LA - Las Vegas high-speed line
XPRESSWEST, the subsidiary of Virgin Trains USA planning a high-speed line from California to Las Vegas, has begun early talks to extend the western terminus from Victorville to Rancho Cucamonga, where the line could connect directly to the Los Angeles metro network.

Brightline receives approval for Port Miami station
THE Miami-Dade County Commission has approved plans for Brightline, soon to be Virgin Trains USA, to build a station at PortMiami by the end of 2020. The station will eventually provide a direct connection between the port’s cruise terminals and Brightline’s services to Orlando International Airport.
