ÖBB PSO contracts reduced to 10 years
AUSTRIA’s Federal Administrative Court (BvWG) has approved the reduction of a 15-year direct-award contract to operate long-distance, regional and local services in the east of the country, which was awarded to Austrian Federal Railway (ÖBB) last December, to 10 years.

Westbahn to operate Austrian section of Regiojet’s Vienna - Prague service
CZECH and Slovak open-access operator Regiojet will end its co-operation with Graz-Köflacher Rail (GKB), which currently operates the Austrian section of Regiojet’s Vienna - Brno - Prague services, at the end of the year. These services will instead be operated by Austrian open-access operator Westbahn.
