Comply365’s platform will support NS’ efforts to digitise its rulebooks, bulletins, special instructions, and other documents that drivers, engineers, and other operational personnel must carry while on duty.

The project will roll out to more than 8000 operational employees across the railway in 2021.

Comply365 provides a user-friendly mobile solution to access the mission-critical information, including the ability to quickly search and filter, bookmark, and annotate important documents. The company supported the United States Federal Aviation Administration’s approval of replacing traditional, paper-based pilot flight bags with electronic flight bags.

“Our move from the paper world has already begun, and we’re excited to realise the benefits that a more digital workplace will provide,” says NS director for operating rules, Mr Corey Veal. “We look forward to providing our employees with an easy-to-use app that supports operational safety and compliance and creates a more efficient document management and delivery system.”

Comply365’s services are already used by Canadian National (CN), Amtrak, and Keolis Commuter Services, which operates the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority’s (MBTA) commuter rail network.
