Passengers can search a route, train type, station or train number to view a live schedule, possible delays, planned stops and platform numbers. Trains can also be located in real time on the interactive map with a zoom enabling the user to view the train's route in relation to recognisable points such as waterways or highways.

The website, which can be viewed on a computer or smartphone, is still in the early stages as SNCB is continuing to develop the programme, including adding additional information such as works on the tracks and disruption to traffic.

The current version of Train Map uses data from lineside measurement points, but in future will use geolocation and GPS signals.
