The monorail train, known as Skytrain, has two 11m-long cars with a 2.4m-wide loading gauge, and can be extended to operate with up to five cars.
The city began testing of a 10.5km Skytrain line on June 4, ahead of its planned opening in 2021.
The line runs from Longquan Hill via East Lake Comprehensive Bonded Area and Baozixi Park, to Optics Valley station, where it interchanges with Metro Line 11. The line will serve six stations and transport up to 10,000 passengers per hour.
