The MG11 machine can remove between 0.1 and 0.8mm of rail head in a single pass, covering 500m of track per hour. The unit is fitted with a powerful suction system so that 99.5% of metal fragments produced by grinding are removed from the track.

The four-axle machine combines both milling and grinding units and can be supplied to work on any track gauge between 1000 and 1676mm. It has a maximum axleload of 7.5 tonnes and is powered by a 240kW John Deere diesel engine.

The grinder is 11.9m long and is designed to be shipped in a 40-foot shipping container.
