Strabag’s business comprises four rail milling machines and around 30 employees. Vossloh says the acquisition, originally announced in November, will complement its High Speed Grinding activities.

Vossloh will intergrate the Strabag business with its Berlin-based Alpha Rail Team. The German supplier says it expects rail milling to become more important due to increasing traffic and higher speeds. The company says that both the purchase price and expected sales are in the low double-digit million range.
